Amanda Brieditis

Amanda Brieditis, is a 22 year old Swedish Event rider, based near Swindon and competing up to Advanced (CCI4*S)

Amanda is from the South of Sweden, she started riding when she was only 4 years old at the local riding school.  Her not-so-horsy parents wanted to give her a chance to try riding because she had always loved animals.

The first couple of years she was mainly interested in the cats living at the yard but as she grew older, her interest in horses also grew.

She started to ride a friend´s pony a few days a week to prove to her parents that she really wanted to ride and that she would be capable of caring for a pony of her own.  For her 12th birthday she got her first pony, FLOWERHILLS KALVIN.

They had a great couple of years together and in 2012 they finished their last season together they ranked No.1 (in their age group) in Sweden.

In 2012 Amanda went on to study at an Equestrian College (Sundsgymnasiet, Vellinge, SWEDEN) for three years and as soon as she graduated she moved to the UK to focus 100% on her Equestrian career and Eventing.  She was fortunate to got a job as a Stable Jockey at the New Zealand riders Tim and Jonelle Price’s yard in Marlborough, where she got to train, while riding all of their amazing horses which has enabled to her to learn and develop in her riding every day.  Amanda is planning on staying with Team Price for at least another year.

At the beginning of 2016 Amanda bought a new horse. An Irish event horse BOLEYBAWN FERNHILL (Sky), previously ridden by Fraser Duffy.  They had a successful first season together and quickly went up the levels to CCI2* and gained their qualification for the Young Rider European Championships,  where they were named as First Reserve for Team Sweden.

After their success in 2016, Amanda and Sky have been named on Sweden’s Young Rider Squad for 2017 and they are aiming to be selected to represent Sweden as part of the Young Rider European Championships Team who will head to Millstreet, IRELAND in the summer of 2017.

2019 marks the beginning of a new chapter in Amanda’s Eventing career, as she her boyfriend, Brazilian rider Rafael Losano, setup up their Eventing business at Badgertown, near Swindon, where they will be producing young horses while competing a small string of more experienced horses.

Amanda had been a part of Team Eventing Images since beginning of 2017.
