Imogen Murray

Imogen Murray is a 25 year old up and coming event rider based in Leicestershire competing at CCI****

Imogen is the main stable jockey at M S Team Eventing.

Imogen has been riding since she was 4 years of age. She initially started competitive competition in the show ring and regularly competed Show Hunter and Working Hunter ponies at The Royal International Show and The Horse of the Year Show.

Imogen started her eventing career at the age of 14 and was long-listed for the Junior European team in 2011 (unfortunately a broken ankle meant she wasn’t able to take part in the final selection trial).  In 2013 Imogen was short listed for the Young Riders with WISEGUY IV.  2014 Imogen was able to realise one of her childhood dreams and not only compete at, but also complete the CCI**** Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials on their first attempt. This is no mean feat.

2017 was very much  a ‘coming of age year’, where she has firmly made her mark, turned a few heads and is now mentioned as one of the riders to watch.   The year started well with her first CCI**** Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials completion, jumping double clear and finishing in 21st place and best placed u25 rider, she went on to represent to Team GBR as member of the ‘all girls’ team selected to contest FEI Nations Cup at Haras de Pin, FRANCE were the team took the Silver medal and she concluded her year completing her second CCI**** Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials completion again jumping double clear to finish in 14th place.

2018 continued in pretty much the same vein that 2017 ended, with two too more completions and two more Top Twenty placings at CCI**** for both herself and IVAR (Sir Charles) GOODEN (Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, 11th, and the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, 19th).  Imogen also took her Maiden International win, claiming 1st place in the CCI** with ROHERYN RUBY at Haras du Pin, FRANCE.  Other notable finishes in 2018 included 15th in the Event Rider Masters (CIC***) Series at the Barbury International; and being selected to represent Team GBR for the Germany leg of the FEI Nations Cup series at the infamous Aachen, where she finished 24th individually.

2019 is going to be another busy year for Imogen, and I am really looking forward to continuing my involvement with this Team.
